Neahkahnie Mountain Map

Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain on the Oregon Coast is a popular hike with rewarding views. This trail crosses over the mountain making a point-to-point hike possible with a shuttle vehicle. Most will just hike it as an out-and-back from one of the trailheads. Either way, if you make it to the summit you’ll have views to the south of the Oregon Coast Range and the long sandy beach that extends from the town of Manzanita to the Nehalem River mouth and beyond.

Neahkahnie Mountain is located in Oswald D West State Park between the towns of Cannon Beach and Tillamook on the northern Oregon Coast. From Portland you are looking at a 1 hour and 45 minute drive.

The trail map above shows both trailheads. The northern trailhead is on Highway 101 and the southern trailhead is almost 400 feet higher on a short dead-end road off the highway (easier hike from this starting point).

Before hiking you might want to print a topo map to see the lay of the land. Just note that the north end of the trail has been re-routed since the original USGS topo maps were created.
