McLoyd Canyon is located just south of Owl Creek Canyon and is a tributary of Fish Creek Canyon. All three of these canyons empty into Comb Wash on the eastern edge of Cedar Mesa.

This is not an official name of a canyon on USGS topographic maps. It has been assigned by the community and for that reason McLoyd Canyon is also spelled McCloyd, McCloyds, and other variations.
