The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway takes visitors from the warmth of Palm Springs up to cooler elevations at 8500 feet on a ridge of San Jacinto Peak. It’s an attraction that should not be missed on a trip to the Coachella Valley. Bring extra layers and plan to hike around at the top of the tram. Bring drinks and snacks for sure, but they have a café (cafeteria style grub), a fine dining restaurant, and a cocktail lounge up there.
