Pu’u ‘O’o vent or cone is the crater on Kilauea Volcano that erupted continuously from 1983 to 2018 in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The flows from Puu Oo covered much of the national park land including miles of the Chain of Craters road between the park and the area known as the Puna District. Puu Oo and Kilauea are in the most active volcanic region on the Big Island and all of the Hawaiian Islands.
